I always through Love was to not feel pain

But if you don't hurt - you get no gain

Struggle with my mind

To fulfill my void

A man in my life

Isn't the answer anymore.

 

Spiritually I am growing every day

To find the one of my own heart -

This I constantly pray.

I know in the Creators own time

He will come my way

But for now I'll be alone

On Valentines Day.

 

Only commercialized

So businesses can get their pay

I know all this...

But still I wish...

To feel that special love

on this 'special day'.

 

Deep down in my soul

I let it ache

Hide the truth of how I feel

Hoping it wasn't so real

Yet here I am writing it down

Amazed that this is what comes out

With a frown...

 

Where is that musshy love

That I've heard so much about?

When will I get butterflies

And dream of hugs?

It's not my time.

So I journalize my rhymes...

Ask the questions

Want the answers

It'll come when it's right

But for now

I just let out a sigh...
