Pressure
I am no fool
Nor context cocky
No coward
No clone
No Xerox copy
Powered by soul
Not cell phones or soda
Brand hand-made
Not Pepsi or Motorola
Ad execs wish I’d pass and roll over
If I depended on it, they’d never reach their quota
Frigid with my funds, I give em’ the cold shoulder
Fads might pass, the pattern is much older
Products get packaged and pushed to playgrounds
By the time they're adults, they’re happy to stay down
No frowns, just smiles
Masterfully marketed
Teens get targeted
Heading to the mall again
Spring, Summer, Fall again
Pretend in the winter
Skimpy, Curvaceous, seems to be a winner
High fat content, seems to be a dinner,
breakfast and a lunch
Can’t beat em’ to the punch, but…
No regard for themselves
Benefit is never a concern when we pick from the shelves
And add to the sells
Poison stock just sky rocketed
Well…poison profit got sly pocketed
Yeah…Generation G
Gluttony, Gastric Bypass and Me
Glamour with a great money-back guarantee
When I could be whatever I wanna be for free!
Slow feast full, forgetting the fast food
No longer in a hurry and happy’s the last mood
Smiles on my face, I shape my attitude
From the clay of my concepts I till every thought
Know that money IS an object
As bads are bought and goods are sold
Your self-control and self-esteem are self-redeemed from in between your ears!
If you hear me, please alert your peers
And whoever you love, cuz Britney Spears doesn’t love you!
Budweiser doesn’t give a f*** if you get girls or not
Neither does Hip Hop
Please, Stop!
Hype Williams ain’t gon’ make a penny making you feel adequate
or her feel pretty
White girls pray to be skinny from Cosmo
Black men successful as far as the cars go
Little kids hungry and happy for hamburgers
Numb and desensitized to stand murders
Sex, money, and wrath
Young people and math
1 in every 4 is sad
1 in every 5 missing a dad
1 in every 6 scantily clad
1 in every 7 chasing a fad
1 in every 8 is great, but won’t show it
To the 1 in every 9, dying but don’t know it!
1 in every 10 pretend to be others
100% of us need some real mothers
Real fathers. real sisters. real brothers
Real husbands, real wives and real lovers
Study with your inner self encyclopedia
Love yourself more than you love the media

I produce
pictures, poems, films, and songs. From an artistic standpoint, I would simply
label myself a creator. I view each piece, whether presented visually,
poetically, musically, or otherwise, as part of a lifelong conversation that I’m
having with a collective audience. That option of creative language alone is a
gift that I strive not to take for granted.

The Stroll
No
matter how bad your day was
Time runs too fast to listen
No matter how fed up you got
The world is not going to stop for reflections that match your own
So you decide to take a walk
Just you, the night, and the street lights
Where you can, at least, slow things down to a speed that doesn’t blur
To the rate that you prefer
Your loss of momentum magnifies the nighttime quiet and glow
Things you know and things you wonder keep you company down the vacant road
The almost silent sidewalks invite you to sing along with hidden creatures
You are not fortunate enough to have the harmony they do
But you put extra feeling into your notes to compensate for lost company
You are full of infinite ideas and minimal outlets
The outside wind, your blanket
You thank it and keep thinking
Starlight and breeze become unusually crucial
Now that you flash smiles that seem to have no explanation
Smiles that no one is there to notice
You can focus on pain and happiness in the same breath
Alone, you have made the night sacred and safe
No one can ever stop you from revisiting this moment
